Kendall & Nathan | Yes to Forever

There’s nothing I love more than following along on a great love story. I first started documenting Kendall and Nathan’s romance in the early stages of their relationship in the summer of 2020. We got connected thanks to mutual friends, and it’s been so much fun watching their relationship grow over the years.

Skip to the summer of 2021, and I got to photograph their proposal (queue happy tears!).

After their proposal, they knew they needed an engagement session, but when Nathan was unexpectedly deployed for 10 months, we had to postpone the shoot. Once he returned, they reached out, and we dreamt up the most special engagement shoot together.

We decided to recreate their first date in their engagement shoot! I think I screamed when Kendall shared the idea with me because I knew how perfect it would be. Oh my gosh, when I say this was one of the most fun sessions I’ve done with a couple, I’m not lying

For context, their first date together was in the back of Nathan’s truck with takeout Mexican food. It was during the pandemic when restaurants were closed, but Nathan still tried to make it a memorable first date (it worked!). The photoshoot turned out perfect with the scenery of Stumpy Lake Natural Area. Did you catch the taco bell packets that say “yes to forever” on them?! My heart melted.

Skip to the summer of 2022, and… you guessed it… I was asked to photograph their wedding day next year. I’m always honored to document such a special day for couples–but I know this one will feel extra special having seen their relationship blossom over the last two years. I can’t wait for their big day!
